Youth and adults will meet at MPC after the worship service for a fellowship meal together and to work on two mission projects. We will be assembling VPAS bags that will be delivered the first week of December to seniors on the Meals on Wheels route. MPC has committed to providing 10 boxes for Operation Christmas Child, which will be sent in collectively with other churches and individuals from Highland County.
Items needed for the holiday bags for VPAS recipients receiving Meals on Wheels and Operation Christmas Child:
Here are the items needed for the bags and/or shoe boxes to be assembled on 11/19 at MPC. If you prefer to make a cash donation you can leave a check with Betty Gail Hiner. Designate in the comments section of your check that it is for “Advent Mission Projects”. There will be boxes on the kitchen counter in the fellowship hall for your donations. Put whatever you wish to donate in a box and we will divide them so items go to the appropriate project.
VPAS Holiday Bags – Individually foil-wrapped tea bags, word search puzzle books, crossword puzzle books and Chapstick or lip balm, preferably unscented. Life Savers and other hard candies, like peppermints, are also needed.
